About Money Plant (Moss Stick)
The same low-fuss Money Plant, trained upright on a moss stick instead of left to trail — gives a fuller, more architectural shape that suits a desk or shelf where a hanging vine wouldn't fit. Just as forgiving of irregular watering as the trailing version.

How to care for Money Plant (Moss Stick)
Sunlight
Grows well in medium to bright indirect light and tolerates lower light, though growth slows and variegation fades. Keep it out of strong direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Water when the top 3–4 cm of soil feels dry — typically every 7–10 days, and less in cooler weather. Drooping leaves are an early sign it is thirsty; it recovers quickly after a drink.
Humidity & temperature
Comfortable in normal indoor humidity and at 18–32°C. Dry air-conditioned rooms can brown the leaf tips; an occasional wipe of the leaves helps.
Soil & feeding
Keep the moss stick lightly moist as well as the soil, as the aerial roots take up water from it. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength every 4–6 weeks.
Pruning
Pinch or trim the vine tips just above a leaf node to encourage a fuller, bushier plant.
Propagation
Cut a stem just below a node with at least one leaf, and root it in water or moist soil. Roots form in a few weeks; pot up once they are a few centimetres long.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make it grow fuller?
Trim the vines just above a leaf node and root the cuttings in water or soil. Planting the cuttings back into the same pot quickly thickens the plant.
Can it grow in water?
Yes. Cuttings root readily in water, and many will live there for months. Change the water weekly and move to soil for long-term growth.
Is it safe for pets and children?
Keep Money Plant (Moss Stick) out of reach of pets and small children. Many ornamental plants can irritate the mouth or stomach if chewed. If a pet or child eats part of the plant, contact a vet or doctor.
